Kuwait has more gyms than ever — big-box chains, boutique studios, CrossFit boxes, ladies-only clubs. Price matters, but it's rarely what makes you still be training in six months. Ask these seven questions instead.
1. Will you actually go?
Distance kills more memberships than price. Pick somewhere within 15 minutes of home or work. (Circuit+ runs branches in Kuwait City, Mansouriya, Al Siddeeq, Shuwaikh and Abu Al Hasaniya — find your nearest.)
2. Coached or solo?
Open-gym memberships are cheaper, but most people plateau training alone. Coached group classes give you programming, form correction and a start time you'll actually show up for.
3. Is the environment right for you?
For many women in Kuwait this is the deciding factor: is the gym genuinely women-only, with female coaches? Ask specifically — a 'ladies' hour' is not the same as a ladies-only facility.
4. What's included in the price?
Some gyms quote a low headline rate, then charge per class. Compare the price of what you'll actually do: if you'll take classes 4x a week, compare unlimited-class prices.
5. Can you try before you commit?
Any gym confident in its product will let you sample it. At Circuit+, your first class is free — no card required, just a two-minute profile.
6. How easy is joining and renewing?
If joining requires a sales meeting, renewing will too. Look for transparent online pricing and KNET checkout.
7. What happens when you stop showing up?
The honest question. Does anyone notice? A gym that follows up when you go quiet is a gym invested in your result, not just your subscription.
Whatever you choose — choose somewhere you'll still be in six months. If you want to test us against this list, your first class is free.
